At the Threads Fashion Show's Spring 2024 event, I was honored to receive two prestigious awards for my seven-piece collection, "Live Fast, Die Young," which garnered recognition for both "Best Construction" and "Best Overall Collection." This remarkable showcase captivated an audience of 700 members and highlighted the exceptional creativity of 15 talented designers, each presenting 17 distinctive collections. The event served as a celebration of innovative design and a testament to the vibrant fashion community, fostering connections and inspiring future collaborations among designers and attendees alike.

At the Threads Fashion Show, I was honored to receive the Best Overall Collection award with an impressive overall score of 4.1 out of 5 from the judges. This recognition celebrated the originality, creativity, and cohesion of my designs, as the garments stood out both individually and collectively. The judges praised my work, describing it as "visually impactful" with a "fit that is truly amazing" and an "incredible job with a very well-thought-out lineup." They also commended how the collection’s flow and storytelling made it “wonderfully cohesive.” This award reinforced my commitment to delivering designs that are not only striking but also meaningful, connecting deeply with audiences through a unified narrative.

Additionally, I was awarded Best Construction for demonstrating exceptional craftsmanship and technical skill. Threads described this award as recognizing "the collection that was constructed in an interesting or conceptual way" with "extreme attention to detail and meticulous structure." My work stood out for its innovative pattern-making, precise sewing, and flawless execution, distinguishing it from others. Receiving this recognition was especially rewarding, as it validated the time, effort, and care I invested in perfecting every stitch and seam. This honor reflects my passion for blending artistry with technical excellence, ensuring each garment meets the highest standards of quality and innovation.

Threads Fashion Show Winner
As one of the three winners of the Threads Fashion Show, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in Central Michigan University's New Venture Challenge (NVC). This premier competition empowers students to develop their entrepreneurial skills, pitch innovative ideas, and compete for over $100,000 in total cash prizes across five tracks. NVC fosters growth through workshops, mentorship programs, and networking events, preparing participants to bring their ventures to life. Representing the Threads winners, I showcased two of my top
designs from my award-winning collection, highlighting the creativity and craftsmanship that earned me recognition at Threads.
During the competition, our group proudly won the Viewers' Choice Award, a testament to the impact and appeal of our collective work. This experience blended entrepreneurship with fashion design, providing valuable exposure and connections to further my career.
