Couture By Kim was honored to sponsor the Miss Namibia pageant, and as part of the sponsorship, I had the opportunity to model the new NAFIKA collection. The pageant was a significant event in the Namibian fashion and cultural scene, and my role was to showcase the collection while promoting the brand’s unique vision. I was there specifically to model the garments and engage in PR efforts, highlighting the brand’s African-inspired designs and their relevance to contemporary fashion. The event provided a fantastic platform to elevate the brand’s presence and connect with key figures in the industry.

During my internship, I had the incredible opportunity to attend the Miss Namibia pageant, where I represented the NAFIKA brand as part of the PR efforts for our new collection. It was an exciting experience to showcase the brand in such a high-profile setting. I had the chance to connect with a diverse group of people, including talented designers, pageant sponsors, and contestants. Speaking with these industry professionals gave me valuable insight into the fashion and beauty world in Namibia, while also allowing me to promote NAFIKA’s vision and design philosophy.
Interacting with the contestants and sponsors was particularly inspiring, as many of them shared their perspectives on fashion, culture, and the importance of representation in the industry. I used this opportunity to promote NAFIKA’s unique blend of African-inspired designs, speaking to others about the collection and its cultural significance. The event allowed me to network, build relationships, and create lasting impressions that helped elevate the brand’s presence in the Namibian fashion scene.
